Mimar Sinan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School
Our school started as a school to train “master builders” in 1931-1932 and to operate on the lands owned by Atatürk State Farm following an instruction by Ataturk, our Great Leader. Stone-cutting and plastering were added as fields in 1937-1938 whereas plumbing and central heating system was added as another field in 1938-1939. The duration of the whole education was increased to 5 years in the academic year of 1939-1940. After the extension of the duration, our school was renamed as “CONSTRUCTION INSTITUTE”. However, it was renamed again as Construction Vocational High School in the academic year of 1966-1967. First construction Design field and then construction machinery field were incorporated into the school in 1982-1983, followed by cooling and air conditioning, restoration and electric fields in 1996-1997, 2001-2002 and 2003-2004 respectively. Our school was renamed as ANKARA CONSTRUCTION VOCATIONAL and TECHNICAL ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL in the academic year of 2004-2005.
The Technical Vocational School on Construction started two fields, one on computer technologies (hardware) and construction technologies. The school was renamed in the academic year of 2007-2008 as MİMAR SİNAN CONSTRUCTION VOCATİONAL SCHOOL, MİMAR SİNAN CONSTRUCTION TECHNICAL SCHOOL, MİMAR SİNAN CONSTRUCTION ANATOLIAN TECHNICAL SCHOOL. Map-Title Deed-Cadastre field started as a sub-field under the field of Construction Technologies in the academic year of 2007-2008. This sub-field was then moved to Industrial Vocational High School in the academic year of 2008-2009. Installation technologies was incorporated into Construction Anatolian Technical High School within the same academic period. The same field was incorporated into the technical high school in the academic year of 2009-2010 and it is still taught at that school. The school was renamed as MİMAR SİNAN VOCATIONAL and TECHNICAL ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL in the academic year of 2014-2015.
